The Scafell Hotel is situated at the foot of Great Gable and is ideally situated for guests wishing to explore the Lake District. The hotel is located in the very heart of Borrowdale, considered by many as England's finest valley, surrounded by mighty fells, tranquil meadows and crystal clear waters. The picturesque towns of Keswick and Derwentwater are only a short drive away. All of the bedrooms have been completely re-furnished during 2008 and are well equipped with direct dial telephone, digital TV and radio and tea/coffee making facilities. Many of the rooms have views of the beautiful surrounding area and some sit peacefully above the river at the rear of the hotel. At the end of a day clients can relax in the comfortable lounges and cocktail bar or enjoy a meal in the hotel's stylish restaurant. Also part of the Scafell is the well known Riverside Bar serving great real ale, great food and a great atmosphere.
